I thought the Destiny convo was one of the best on his channel tbh

That's really disappointing.I enjoyed the conversation. I just dont understand how Destiny any more 'wanted to be right" than Peterson. As soon as Destiny disagreed with him Peterson became very aggressive and Destiny matched his energy. They went back and forth and then by the end they brought the energy back down and although passionate I thought it was a nice good faith conversation. Did Jordan expect no pushback? .If Destiny had not pushed back people would have just said he got owned and had nothing to say. He didnt even go that hard. Did Jordan even want a conversation or just to lecture from a point of superiority?

That’s weird, cause Jordan Peterson definitely came across as easily the more aggressive one in that podcast.

TLDR - Jordan Peterson claims he doesn't care about being right in conversations... except in literally every previous conversation he's had in his life.

I felt like Jordan was fighting a stereotype of a far left progressive in his head instead of destiny, it made the debate more aggressive than it needed to be at points where there was no need for it. Destiny was pretty stoic jut Jordan came across as angry for being questioned.

Peterson yelled and got angry each time before Destiny chose to. I think this is projection in it's finest form.

"I don't like talking to people that want to be right, and Destiny wants to be right."

What am I even hearing? Is this going to be another wordplay on right vs correct? How stupid of an idea, who actively wants to be wrong or in the dark?

I was disappointed with that interview...Jordan went way too offensive...Destiny wanted to talk about the psychology of politics but Jordan went unhinged...Canada literally destroyed his practice so I get why he hates one side so much but that's not everyone.

Destiny should talk with Jordan more. Destiny did a great job

"I am an agreeable person" That's total nonsense, Peterson goes nuts when you say anything contrary to his beliefs.

As someone who watches “Destiny” I don’t see him as beyond criticism at all but all of the criticisms of him I see have nothing to do with the substance of anything he has ever said or done. Also the claim implicitly levied by Peterson in this clip is that Destiny was arguing with Peterson just to win an argument which doesn’t accurately represent any portion of their 2 and a half hour conversation. They were arguing because of authentic meaningful disagreements and Destiny literally agreed with Peterson at least half a dozen times throughout the video like when Peterson levies his concerns around the excesses of environmental extremism as just one example.

I think it’s a total shame that Peterson has this perception of Destiny as being performative for the sake of winning an argument and I think actually that more accurately describes how Peterson was behaving throughout the conversation. When Peterson says “[how about 80 vaccines, at once, for babies? I think that’s a little risky]” he is over exaggerating to such a ridiculous extent that it mischaracterizes the reality of how many vaccines children receive throughout their entire childhood let alone as “babies” (a perfect victim instrumentally invoked to win an argument). He ends up misinforming his audience through this “exaggeration”(i feel this is generous, it was practically a blatant lie) in a way that serves an instrumental purpose from the perspective of winning the argument in the moment against Destiny who, because he cares more about not saying something wrong than winning the argument, acquiesces to Petersons ridiculous characterization because he is not sufficiently familiar with the vaccine schedules for children and he doesn’t want to just say baseless inaccurate nonsense in an intelligent way to win an argument like Peterson did in that instance.

I think Jordan Peterson is projecting aspects of himself he doesn’t like onto Destiny then disliking Destiny for reminding himself of those disliked aspects of self.

P.S. if you read this Jordan you should know that Destiny would gladly talk to you again about any topic you’re interested in receiving his perspective on and you’re right that Destiny is prideful but he comes by his pride honestly he works very hard and takes himself very seriously in his capacity as a servant of the truth.

Probably most importantly, he is a prominent left-wing figure who speaks to you without seeking to humiliate you and if you can’t recognize that it’s your mistake.

Destiny had kid gloves on and was very respectful in his pushback. His perspective just upset you. You probably have sneaking suspicion he is right and that angers and upsets you.

This is actually the most depressing thing I've seen. I thought that was such an excellent conversation. And for Jordan Peterson to come away with it saying that he doesn't like people who like to be right while the only reason he doesn't like that is because he likes to be right? Pathetic. I expected more out of this man.

That "Luciferian" accusation is disgusting. JP is so hypocritical in the way he demonizes his opponents by comparing them to Satan, Stalin and Hitler (Destiny says we shouldn't compare climate change policy groups to Hitler and he screams "WHY NOT!?") Then when someone compares him to a nazi (or a comic book version a la Red Skull) he starts crying about it! Literally crying on camera. Why does he think its ok to stigmatise his opponents as allies of the most evil people in history then get emotional when someone does the same to him? He's on another planet these days. Sad, because he was really insightful seven years ago.

Man, Jordan really can't stand being challenged huh? Destiny said that he intentionally went soft on Peterson in their convo because he would like to have future convos and yet it seems like even the toned down version of Destiny already broke JP. Sad, really.

I feel like Jordan framed that unfairly because if he took a little bit more time to learn about destiny he would understand his dedication and openness to finding truth, and changes his mind more than you would think

I have never heard so much projection coming from Jordan before.
I love his content but he acted like a kid with an attitude problem on his stream with destiny. he got called out and acted like he wanted to take his ball and go home. only made himself look worse in this clip accusing of what he did himself

"Wanting to be right is a bad idea, I don't want to talk to people who want to be right like Destiny" Wow JP's intellectual cowardice is getting visible

Destiny was indeed trying to argue for the sake of arguing, he debates trying to get a win without trying to get to the truth. He is a bad faith debater, he is the king of whataboutism

I find it hard to believe that Jordan is temperamentally agreeable when he consistently embroils himself in a new conflict every other day...
