I like alternate history as much as the nest person, but this just feels wrong. For one it makes communist look good, makes America look bad, and women as needing men to fail in order to shine. I don't see how this can please anyone.

Basically NASA's worst nightmare coupled with everything they had on the drawing boards and concept art to do post-Apollo before Nixon slashed the budget.

Still, I'd love to see this, as both a space buff and an alternate history fan.

The Russians had already sent a woman into space. "The first woman in space was a Soviet cosmonaut. Valentina Tereshkova launched with the Vostok 6 mission on June 16, 1963." ...and we didn't land on the Moon until *6* years later.

The NASA roadmap, had the Apollo program remain fully funded and Nixon not pursued the Space Shuttle was pretty amazing. This could be awesome.
