My kitten sneezed pretty much every 5 seconds when we first got her. We were only joking that she was allergic to us but lookie here 😂😂😂

Yup, my dog got so sick one year from his allergies we didn't think he would survive it. He has food allergies, specifically preservatives found in most dog foods, also human dander, and environmental from pollen, mold and dust/mites. He regularly had to go on risky medications to ease his pain, his skin rashes and ear infections. He's doing great now that we live in a less mouldy/dusty house, when it was really bad we didn't have properly sealed windows or doors so it was always dusty and the water got in around the windows and caused mold. He's 9 now, and this summer didn't have to go on his allergy medications at all thankfully! He's on a good food, and the house we live in now is much better maintained so less dust and mold. He's even avoided ear infections for about 18 months now which is just awesome considering he used to get them at least 4 times a year. People always look at me like I'm crazy when I talk about it but it's legit and scary as heck when you can't figure out what exactly is making your dog so sick and get rid of it, it took us about 5 years of trial and error to find a food he could tolerate. It's awful. 💔

We actually had a dog that needed allergy shots when I was growing up. Thankfully she wasn't allergic to us, as she was a cuddlebug, but she was allergic to an array of things including corn, rice, chicken, turkey, and houseflies.

Quite a few years ago, both my older brother and the family dog had pollen allergies. Same symptoms, same time of year, even the same medicine!

I had a german shepard with a mystery allergy. Poor thing, no one could figure out what it was, not even the vet. He eventually succumbed to the resulting skin condition and died lying down in our back yard.
Thinking about the suffering the dog went through most of its life... it haunts me.
