Retired SAG/AEA actress here...I just got back from this movie.... Excellent and inspiring. Dennis Quaid was superb and really nailed Ron Reagan's voice and internal thought process. That funny little grin had so many facets, that I was mesmerized... Penelope Ann Miller also excellent and perfect as Nancy. History repeats itself over and over... communism IS a real threat to individual freedom. God bless all.

This movie brought back many great memories of my childhood and how, as a fifth grader, Reagan inspired me to be more involved in my schools' political programs and elections than I ever would have been otherwise. I felt like I was reliving those years as they used many real, historical news clips from that era! My 21-year-old daughter cried like a baby. The audience was clapping and cheering as they laughed and cried! Wonderful movie!

This brings back memories of my younger years, clearly President Reagan was one of the last strong and decisive leaders, the world changed at the end of his presidency, the Soviet Union was collapsing and there was hope, human nature gets in the way and we are at another crucible of world history.

My wife and I are in our 60's and went to see the Reagan movie, near the end when President Reagan was in mental decline, I was wiping tears from my eyes.

Reagan getting shot was the very first news event I remember. I ran up to my parents room and told them what happened. I remember listening to him speak as a child and I knew then which side I was on. Inspiring

Wow! What a great movie! Quaid and the cast were superb. Reagan's marriage was so sweet and endearing. Made me cry. When I cry, you know it's good acting and a good story.

Just saw the movie today & greatly enjoyed it. I have many fond memories of the Reagan Administration & seeing the man's life portrayed on the screen by a fine actor was a very stirring experience for me. I especially appreciated the sensitive handling at the end of the onset of Reagan's illness; that was well-handled as well.

The only thing that surprised me about the movie was the curious omission of his now-famous 1964 "A Time for Choosing" speech, or the address he gave at the 1976 Republican Convention (which caused many delegates to admit to each other: "I think we nominated the wrong candidate...")

I was among the final cadre of Army Infantry soldiers who served under President Reagan when he was still commander in chief. Thank you, President Reagan, for your inspiration and leadership. I did my job a lot better than I would have under your predecessor, I believe. You believed in us, and you believed in our mission. That made a big difference.
