Did you know? In 1966, a Texas radio station burned Beatles merchandise after John Lennon's controversial statement, only to have their broadcast tower struck by lightning the next day. Simon & Garfunkel initially split due to poor album sales, but their producer's remix of "The Sounds of Silence" propelled them to success. In music notation, notes are named sequentially from 8th notes to 'Demisemihemidemisemiquavers'. David Grohl single-handedly recorded all tracks for the first Foo Fighters album.

I remember the Beatle's brouhaha over the God statement. But I knew then and now that it was completely misunderstood. John was quoting someone else. He never said he agreed with the comment!

In 1966 that radio station was KLUE in Longview, TX. My adopted sister went to it. I at 9 years old thought how stupid. The year before Schlitz opened a brewery here and the first Baptist church said that if you had anything to do with the brewery you were not welcome in "their" church. Smith County, not far from here had been dry since prohibition and less than 10 years ago became a wet County.

I remember reading about that about Foo Fighters when I was in high school. He planed on recording the Foo Fighters album before Kurt died and not put his name I it. So people would wonder who is the Foo Fighters, and meanwhile it's the drummer for Nirvana. Also, the name Foo Fighters is cool because it comes from what they called unidentified planes in WW2 I think.

John Lennon was being sarcastic about Beatles popularity, when he said Beatles were more popular than Jesus. It was taken out of context by haters

Simon and Garfunkel first album did not contain sound of silence.
They made records in the 50's

In music theory in German-and Dutch-speaking countries, there’s actually a note called H. It’s what the
rest of the Western world calls B natural. In that system, the note the rest of us call B flat is called B. That’s how the B-A-C-H musical motif originated.

Simon & Garfunkel's 'The Sound of Silence' wasn't remixed, but producer Tom Wilson grafted a backing track in the style of The Byrds onto the acoustic track and had it released as a single.

Dave Grohl doing every vocal and instruments for the first Foo Fighters album wasn't anything new at that point.

Paul McCartney also did that in his debut solo album.

Prince also did that.

The only time I recall the term "quaver" being used was in Close Encounters, near the end when the keyboard was trying to communicate with the spaceship.
That, and music theory class.
