One line from singed in act 5 has me wondering if Shimmer is strongly linked to the Arcane, and when he says to Viktor "I wish I could see the world through your eyes", as though he knew that Viktor could see more than everyone else, as though he knows a fair amount about the Arcane beyond public knowledge. Not to mention the consistent theme throughout Arcane of "Two sides of the same coin", it only makes sense to me that Shimmer is linked to The Arcane in a similar fashion to HexTech. HexTech being using it for technology, for progress and shimmer being using it for biology, to survive. Which we've seen in action through Viktor, and if mastered may have allowed Singed to revive his daughter.

Act 5 revealed to me That Singed is indeed Orianna's father. When Caitlyn mentioned him as Dr. Reveck where his full name is Corinn Reveck. In the Old Orianna lore her last name was Reveck.

I mean Viktor used shimer a couple times when he started to experiment with the hexcore so he does have a little bit of that in his sistem

Singed wants to adapt to nature and Viktor wants to supersede it.
I always thought that Viktors goal is a bad one although he has good noble intentions like, no war, no chaos, no illness, no injury, etc, . but by reaching that goal you take away people's choice, emotion and humanity.

Shimmer could just be a nod to the void which i would stand behind . You gotta look back at deckards shimmer transformation from season 1, there were some sort of screeches at some point

Judging by the colours of shimmer and the patterns from the corrupted Hex-tech I think it’s actually linked to The Void. Which makes sense since Viktor used shimmer to adapt himself with the Hex-core and that’s when it started to look all fleshy.

Shimmer is void serum, shimmer is void, and that is NOT good
