Decent! Learnt a fair bit from your vids Rob. We're just finishing a loft "storage space" the clients are gonna store a bed, some chests of drawers, TV etc, all the usual stuff you need to store. 😉 Only difference, after the insulation in the rafters, we put a thermal VC foil on the rafters then 2x1 then 37mm insulated plasterboard. Just so all those things being stored are nice and cosy.

Could you please provide an estimate of the cost for this project so that people can assess whether it's worth investing in? It would also be helpful to compare this to something like a loft conversion into a living room, as I believe this project might be around half the price of a fully functional conversion.

How do you fix the new cross beams on the floor to the walls at either end of the attic, and do you just sit the beams on the existing beams running the opposite direction?

Is there breathable felt behind the insulation? if not, what did you do about ventilating the gab behind the insulation to stop condensation?

Them ceiling joists are not designed to support that extra weight. Cowboys.. Did you also strip out some purlin supports?
