Loyalty-security transactional relationship: 'Russia has failed to provide for Armenia's security'

Separatists in Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan announced Wednesday they would cease hostilities, signalling the end of an "anti-terror" operation launched just one day earlier by Azerbaijan's forces in the breakaway region. The historic rivals have been locked for decades in a dispute over the mountainous territory inside Azerbaijan that is inhabited mainly by ethnic Armenians and policed by separatists as well as Russian peacekeepers. For more on the on-going conflict between historic rivals and the latest ceasefire, FRANCE 24's Delano D'Souza is joined by Dr. Laurence Broers, Caucasus Programme Director at the international peacebuilding organization Conciliation Resources. RUssia is a reasonable partner. No reason to help Armenia in Karabakh because is not part of Armenia. Russian has done good enough to minimise bloodshed between both parties. We have seen worse around the glove including Palestine, Lebanon, Africa etc which we all know West including France are part of the interested parties.
