‘He’s Got a Rifle!’: Texas Man Accused of Shooting Doctor Opens Fire on Cops After Chase

Bodycam and dashcam footage show the moments surrounding an intense shootout between Texas police and a man accused of shooting a doctor on July 25. The Cedar Hill Police Department said 34-year-old Brian McGee allegedly threatened to shoot his ex-girlfriend, who was at a medical clinic, but shot a doctor instead before fleeing. Both the doctor and suspect survived with non-life-threatening injuries. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks it down.

I'm surprised people still want to be a traffic cop. If it was me, I'd be seeing my life flash past me in seconds every time I'd get a call. That kind of stress must play havoc with their families. However much they are getting paid it isn't enough.

The policeman on the motorcycle must have really been into it. I mean he had to of known the guy shot someone and yet he's chasing him with minimal protection. There is less than .001% bad cops and yet they get a bad rep and put their lives on the line for us like this. My hats are off to them.

A few of those shots kicked up dust so close to the officer on the far left behind the unit. Talk about scary as heck - and these folks go out every day and take this in stride. So glad the Doc is okay, and apparently GF was not touched?, and officers are all good.
