I cant imagine the level of "oh shit" that must've been going through the first two Mosaed boats after the crash

It looks on the video like the ants are attacking a giant worm

What, no telemetry for the excavator & loader on the eastern bank? ;)

Thank you, VesselFinder, for this information.

Because of the headlines and the negative impact that the stranding of this ship might have on the world's economy, I expected to find lots of photographs strewn about the internet of the recovery efforts, but found very few. The photos I have seen suggest that only one single, small, very lonely excavator (and an earth-mover) have been allocated to remove soil from around the bow of the ship. No photos seen as yet of any dredgers suctioning material from under the ship.

Are there no photographers in the area?

One container ship stuck destroys the world economy. Now thats going to give some people ideas we don't want to even think about.

JC, Just bring up another mammoth cargo vessel, tether them together, and give it a tow. These tiny tugs are never going to free the Ever Given with its extreme mass. You need another massive vessel to give it a tug. Yea sure no shipping company wants to risk the liability that may present, but the economic losses being incurred by this incident far outweigh the potential of damaging one of these vessels. Git rrr done!

The video shows it went BOW FIRST into the bank, has ~16m draft and is over 200, 000 tonnes going how many knots? But over and over they are trying to pull the bow sideways against more than 16m of dirt/rock instead of putting all effort to pull it backwards out of its embedding. Pull it backwards out of the bank people!

The important 10min before he crash are missing

No matter how many tug boats works, seems difficult to pull out this huge vessel from the riverbank.

About time Israel considers a similar canal from Eilat to Ashkelom..there isn't that much difference in distance and given today's technological advancement it should be a piece cake for Israel...but the strategic and economic benefit is immense, immeasurable ‼

This has to be the silliest thing I have ever seen. What was the captain thinking when they crashed their ship?
