Why use RAID 0

RAID 0 allows you to combine multiple disks into one large disk. Provide much faster read and write as data is read or written on multiple disks same time.

Disadvantages of using RAID 0

If one of the disk in your RAID 0 array fail, all data in your RAID 0 array will be lost.

If your date is important, don't use RAID 0.

An important question that nobody addressed so far: Is it possible to join disks of different size to a RAID 0 in order to get the sum of all disks in one ? It should not be an issue. This would be a great advantage for this method.
