My brother was initially reluctant to watch Mean Girls or Legally Blonde with me, considering them to be "girly." He ended up really enjoying them, and was surprised by how hilarious they were.

I liked all the Wes short films on Netflix. The Swan, the Rat Catcher, and Poison were all unique and I enjoyed them all.

Pulp Fiction seems like one of those films that was everyones favourite film at one point and none of us want to admit it.

Saw Scott Pilgrim for the first time. Knew nothing about it, and it was nuts to butts from start to finish, and I was dying laughing from all the nonsense that was happening. Very fun.

I really hope Wes Anderson makes more of those Roald Dahl shorts. They really were something special.

I watched one movie every day this September. It was definitely something. Some highlights were Prisoners, Prince of Egypt, Dead Poets Society, Bringing Up Baby, and Blade Runner 2049 (all first time watches).

I watched sideways at 15 and was too young to understand. Rewatched it in my 30s and ooof! Hit me like a ton of bricks. I highly recommend revisiting when you’re older. Paul’s character is perfection. You gotta be a bit jaded by life to see through the pretension. At least imo

What? The scene at Jimmy’s house is basically perfect, and one of the best parts of the film even with the Tarantino self-insert.

Since its october 14th, I thought I'd suggest the leftovers, its one of my favorite shows, its so devastating and weird with a great plot and characters :)

I watched King of Comedy for the first time in September. It exceeded my already high expectations!

Watched both Palm Springs and The Worst Person in the World for the first time this month, two very different films about love but both super rewarding in their own ways!
Also rewatched The Silence of the Lambs, which was one of my favourites when I was younger – still a masterpiece obviously, but somehow I found it way more viscerally disturbing that I did back then? Teenage me was hardcore in a way that current me is not lmao

I watched reservoir dogs for the first time, I've seen most of Tarantino's movies don't know why it took me so long to get to it. 10/10

Watched around 40 movies this past month but I think the stand outs are Song to Song (Malick) and The Piano Teacher (Haneke). Oh and I almost forgot about Clint Eastwood´s Unforgiven and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (Tommy Lee Jones) which I think are probably between my favorite westerns so far.
