don't skip the months, tbh.. I write down every movie that sounds interesting to me and somehow I forget about some of them but when I watch this monthly video, it encourages me to go and watch the movies I haven't watched yet.. you know what I mean. also amazing job and thank you for making this awesome videos

No movie ever made me feel as horrible as Irreversible, it's also the only movie where I had to walk out for a few minutes because I couldn't handle sitting through THAT whole scene. I don't think I wanna subject myself to that experience again.

Still gonna buy it on Blu-ray though, I actually really like Noe's other films and want to have his whole filmography.

Still haven't seen I Stand Alone because I'm scared, but I need to do it for Gaspar someday

I love hearing your opinion on Antebellum and scrolling through the comments to hear what people in other places thought. I think where you ome from definitely makes a difference. I'm actually from the American south, where slavery happened, and for me I had an uncomfortable feeling watching it but it stemmed not from feeling like it was empowering but from feeling like I was watching what felt like borderline torture porn on black people.

Antebellum really reminded me of The Village. Not in the story but in the situation? I dont want to elaborate as not to spoil anything it just had Village vibes to me.

Haven't watched your The Devil All The Time review because I was soooo so tired of people hating on that movie that I was kinda actually afraid that you didn't like it and it would be just another portion of hate, but so refreshing to see someone really liking it! Yay! It was a good movie. Gonna go watch your review now

“I absolutely love this film” gives it 3.5 stars😂

I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest this month too! It was even better than I remember it. Even though I wish it was from "Chef"'s point of view like it was in the book.

you mentioned Prisoner: Cell Block H!!! I live in the UK, and we had all the series here back in the late 80’s and I loved it! All of the episodes of each season are/were on YouTube, and I rewatched all of them a few years ago. Absolutely a product of it’s time, but the stories still stood up with great characters that you love to love and love to hate, and, for the time it was produced, hardcore themes. That show will always hold a very special place in my memories....thank you Australia 🇦🇺💖🙏

Thanks for the monthly recap, Emma. I remember "Orphan" and that amazing plot twist. I had the secret of Antebellum spoiled for me, but that's okay. I doubt I would have enjoyed the film because of it.

Here is my September re-cap of horror/thrillers:
NIGHT CREATURES (1962) - score 6/10
FANTASY ISLAND (2020) - score 6/10
SCHIZOID (1980) - score 5/10
BE MY CAT: A FILM FOR ANNE (2015) - score 3/10 (based on your recommendation, which the score is not reflected on you)
NIGHT OF THE LEPUS (1972) - score 5/10
X-RAY (1981) - score 5/10
THE DARK (1979) - score 3/10
DON'T DELIVER US FROM EVIL (1971) - score 4/10 (another Emma recommendation)
SANTO IN THE HOTEL OF DEATH (1963) - score 6/10
THE CASTLE OF MUMMIES OF GUANAJUATO (1973) - score 6/10 (Mexican wrestlers vs. mummy zombies, great fun)
ANGUISH (1987) - score 5/10
GAMERA VS. VIRAS (1968) - score 6/10
THE GHOST BREAKERS (1940) - score 6/10
MURDER ON FLIGHT 502 (1975) - score 9/10 (murder mystery on an airplane, great cast)
THE CAT AND THE CANARY (1927) - score 8/10 (silent classic)
THE LAST WARNING (1928) - score 7/10 (silent classic)
WEREWOLF IN A GIRL'S DORMITORY (1961) - score 4/10 (must see from the title alone)

I like the recaps even if you've gone over a lot of it for other videos because it serves as a timely reminder for those of us averse to making lists of prospective shows. I think you and everyone else should try out this netflix show called Evil if you haven't already.

I read someone described it as X-Files meets the Exorcist and that's a really good description without giving too much away.

Every video I'm just here with my pen and paper :) hahaha thanks Emma!

I like the monthly Roundup regardless of how many of the movies have already been reviewed on your channel. And you've reminded me that I really need to see orphan and the dark.

Thanks for reviewing Antebellum! Like so much horror, not everyone's taste. There have been horror movies set in American slavery, but nothing with this premise that I know of. It evokes 10 Years Slave more than anything though it isn't genre horror. Check out shudders Horror Noire about the history of black horror cinema. You might get some ideas to review. Id love to see you review Ganja & Hess.

I still like when you do these videos on months where a lot of the movies have already been talked about. I still added several films from this vid!

Return of the Living Dead is a masterpiece, and it breaks my heart that you didn't love it. It's the second most important zombie movie in history (IMHO). It's hilarious, zany, fun, great practical effects, nudity, amazing dialog, it has everything!

I love this format, just hearing your thoughts. And even if you only have a few to talk about you have some interesting things to say about them always, and it even gives me a chance to hear about things that wouldn't fit in the normal channel format (like Pen 15 here).
And what you do say about the ones that are for other videos can even add a bit, so I'm hooked.
