Matrix Monday with the Arturia Matrixbrute- Episode 2: 808 Kick/Bass

In this series I'd like to explore the possible soundscapes the Arturia Matrixbrute is capable of. I have had the Matrixbrute in my studio for several years and have become quite familiar with its' synthesis architecture, but I seem to learn more about it whenever I have the chance to explore freely on the instrument. This series follows me on that exploration.
If you have anything to add to my sound design techniques, the format of the videos themselves or just want to say hi, please don't be shy; I love constructive criticism!

Nice tip on keeping the subs a clean sine while adding harmonics to the higher frequencies. I've often struggled to excite the harmonics of 808's to sit in the mix without losing the overall clarity and impact of the lows. So tx for that:)

Only just got my MatrixBrute and was contemplating the 808 kick, would never have thought of starting with the sub oscillators, you may have saved me weeks of trial and error :-) Now to add some snare noise and other niceties in a cool sequence - Cheers.

Nice. I'm binge watching your vids while waiting for my MB to arrive. Personally I'd ditch the second OSC and add the upper harmonics by adding a saturation/distortion effect, but whatever, there are no right or wrong ways of doing shit in sound design. Onto the next vid.

I did it twice but I never get the knocking sound. I only the bass drop. I can't see what's missing. But the bass is great.
