I bought me two Gaillardia Spintop Copper Sun plants this year. I'm honestly finding out they may be the single prettiest cultivar out there; they too have trumpet petals, but the flower is much more organized and less frizzy. I was wondering if it was a derivative of this cultivar?
Also, I too wonder on the lifespan of these... they seem tough, but not the toughest. They get picky when the sun slams them for more than 3 hours and kindly request a misting. I'm not expecting the most rugged genes.

The internet suggests that gaillardia is a short-living plant, meaning it lasts for one - two years and then dies. What is a life span of this one? Also, when does it bloom? Thank you!

Double or let's fuller flowered varieties are not always an improvement, the normal single flowered variety looks much better, brighter and more high catching and looked more compact
