A before and after deep cleaning, inside and out would be entertaining Joel. It’s not a bad looking ride…I like how they have some Porsche similarities in the basic design.

Nice one Joel. You definitely got lucky! To put this in perspective, I just paid £475 additional for total peace of mind no excess insurance/breakdown cover on a VW Golf rental car for 2 weeks. For the price of my peace of mind, you BOUGHT a WHOLE CAR! Congrats!!

Plenty of life left in the TT Joel
A great handling car and fun to drive
Get the issues Katy likes it so that's a bonus

The mk1 TTs are seriously under appreciated and still cheap (for now)! Just got myself a tidy example of a 225 for £1500. Super value, you will fall in love! Look forward to next vid!

You should’ve used the old “sorry, my cat ran over my keyboard…” excuse that so many eBayers use 😂

I enjoyed the longer style video. Doesn’t seem overly professional and nice to watch👍 good luck with the TT

Exciting car reveal Joel, I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks once you’ve given it a good valet and detail, I think the old Audi deserves some care and attention.
Loving the channel mate, been a subscriber for a good while now and the content keeps getting better. First podcast was a great listen whilst taking the dog for a walk.
BTW congratulations for your recent wedding! Wishing you and Katie a life full of happiness together. 👍🏻

If you’re keeping - get the cambelt and tensioners changed. Ive just bought a 2004 myself and and put back on the road after 6 years unused. 8 weeks of restoring and maintenance and passed the mot 1st time with no advisories. Well pleased. And i changed the cam belt. Not a nice job!

I think you probably got a pretty good deal! A 1.8t without a check engine light has to have been serviced and as long as it doesn’t have rust holes in the body it’s definitely worth saving. If you’re going to keep it then the most important thing with 1.8ts is oil changes and the timing belt

Thats actually a really nice TT. I'm glad it isn't completely crap😂 really enjoy the content mate, keep up the good work

You should DEFINITELY service it Joel, and service the Haldex filter and fluid as well. Believe me the car will thank you for it!!!

Looks like a bargain, Just make sure it gets an oil change sooner rather than later, as the old 1.8 turbo does suffer with a blocked oil pickup if neglected.

Great video, this car deserves some love (and a deep clean!), keep the content coming Joel!

Great purchase. I believe those engines can sludge up if not looked after so given those service intervals definitely check the breather system is functioning correctly, clean the oil screen in the sump and maybe one or two oil changes. Well done!

Cracking little car Joel. This will make some great content. Please do a video on a full valet of the car. Would be great to see how it looks and watch the process. Great content and good to see you smiling over a car once again 😊

I had a late 2002 225bhp 1.8ltr for five years and absolutely loved it. The little spoiler on the back followed the "moose" test in pre-development (it's worth checking some of those early avoidance videos!) I had very little trouble with mine; a broken clutch cable which was annoying at the time but bullet-proof Audi reliability otherwise. The fuel economy was surprisingly good for a quick car although the traction control can be a little interfering on very twisty roads.... so you need to turn it off to enjoy it. I'm sure it will scrub up well and you'll get plenty of enjoyable use from it.

I did the same bought a Focus CC from Copart ‘accidentally’, enjoyed tinkering with it, satisfying to bring it back to life fixing little issues and cleaning it, then used it for summer and traded it in for slightly more than I paid for it

Yes, do more videos! I had a near mint example of a Mk1 TT 225 Quattro. It had been fettled by the previous owner and dyno’d at 398BHP. The lovely thing about it is that it just looked like a gleaming stock example, but had real punch. It was 15 years old and drew attention everywhere it went. I used to higher brand new cars for longer trips and every time I got back in the much older TT it was an instant reminder of how it was superior in every way to standard brand new cars.

I guess you found a keeper :) gonna be a great project, plus, these engines are pretty reliable. I think you might be onto something here! Am looking forward to the content.
