I'm amazed how you can breathe and talk so calmly with three seconds left on the clock.

The quick post analysis aspect after the games is a great, useful thing to do.

Levy's composure to explain his thought processes to us (and calmly as well) under such time constraints is just so impressive and that is why he is an IM.

I found this channel randomly and im glad i did. Very clean and clear explanations, experimentation with openings, and good analysis. Deserves more recognition.

Levy: doesn't take a free rook, because his "knight is too strong". Also Levy: trades that exact knight a minute later for a bishop.

If anyone's wondering

"The last, and little known way to time out is if you are still connected, but take a very long time to make one move.
This can only happen before 10 moves are made in the game. After 10 moves, you can use as much time as you like on any move, but before ten moves are made if you use more than 50% of the main time on one move, you will be considered to have abandoned the game."

Watching these videos and hearing you think about your options out loud has really helped my decision making. It's also taught me to always have a plan, even if it's just getting a piece to a better square. Instead of just randomly making moves, hoping your opponent makes a blunder. thanks for the great instruction- I could watch these all day.

Honestly the only difference that I observed with the 1800's is that Levy's calculation and visualization skills were just stronger.

57:14 so good that you included this falling for the trap and playing out of it. Thank you!

Just this minute finished watching Part 5. Another excellent tutorial/lecture. I am an 1800 player and have watched eveything from part1. Learned something new in all parts. Your Instructional style is first class...very engaging....and sharp. Looking forward to your battles with the 2000's.

The first game was very instructional. He found a great way of attacking that I would not have seen. The rook to A2 move attacking the queen was a good tactic. Great video.

Hey Levy, I‘m hoping that this comment will catch a glimpse of attention from yours! Since I stepped a foot in the world of chess (through an accident, bc of my gf) i‘m so insanely addicted to the understanding and principles of chess. And 99.9% of the time if I look smth. up - the hero, the man - Gotham Chess shows up. Tbh - You gave me the inspiration to learn chess at the age of 21. And even tho I can‘t afford some of you courses - even the book you wrote - I still be watching you videos to get a lil‘ bit better than yesterday - thank you man!

I totally love Levy, but at 32:04 precious knight that was too good to be wasted on a rook gets traded for a bishop lol.

It's really fun watching you nonchalantly be on a winning streak. Spectacular commentary too. Glad I found this channel!

Dude that abandonment thing happens to me all of the time. I just want to think for 2 mins and then bullet the rest of my game but apparently you can’t use your time like that?

19:15 "You need to have this instinct". ... Now that is a tutorial like ''just be a good player, and then you are a good player'' xD
