DIY Makeup-Setting Spray

Here's what you'll need!

INSTRUCTIONS:
DIY Makeup Setting Spray

MATERIALS
Empty spray bottle
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon witch hazel
1 tablespoon aloe vera
6 drops lavender essential oil

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well-combined.
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle.
Spray your face after you apply all of your makeup and your makeup will last for hours!

I have been using this for years and it definitely works! I just leave out the lavender essential oil since I don’t have that.

I know a lot of ppl don't like that this has witch hazel but the real problem with this recipe is this: any DIY water-based product either needs to be used within a week OR have a preservative added to it (lots of ppl use Optiphen Plus) to keep mold, microbes and other bacteria from forming in your product! Also: sterilize your containers! Adding essential oil to a water-based product that going to be sprayed on your face or body (even a milder one like lavender) is a bad idea without an emulsifier. Just don't!

works well! I used rose water instead of plain water, and added diluted tea tree oil instead of lavender.

don’t use witch hazel because that remover your makeup. 3 parts water and 1 part aloe would be fine
