Skeeter’s relationship with Abie and Minny is so pure. She’s my favorite character along with Johnny and Celia. They’re the only people who saw past their skin color.

It is beautiful that at the end of this scene, Aibileen takes Skeeter's hand the way Constantine used to, like Constantine is telling Skeeter to go find her life. ♥️

Minny was right Skeeter wasn't going to get a man if she stayed in Jackson Mississippi.

Skeeter did have a point when she said she didn’t want to leave Aibileen and Minny behind even when she got the job offer. I wished the ending was happy. I wish ‘The Help’ ended with Minny, her children, Celia, Johnny, Aibileen and Skeeter moved away to a different state where they remained as one family for the rest of their lives. Hoping for a sequel!

Skeeter stood up for what she truly believed in. I think that she should keep on fighting for what’s right.

I have seen this scene so many times and I was today years old when I realized that Aibileen turned Skeeter's hand over and pressed her palm like Constance used to do :-)

The definition of the next chapter in your life when you’ve felt like you’ve accomplished so much and have sparked so much change in just a short moment of time of your life is what I got from this scene

One of my favorite scenes in all of film. A true, genuine goodbye that simplifies treating others with love and respect.

My headcanon is that during her job in New York, Skeeter is in a rush and she accidentally bumps into an man in glasses with an adorkable personality (played by Andrew Garfield) and they immediately fall for each other
EDIT: Ryan Gosling or Emma Stone’s IRL husband would work too

I know that a lot of people don't like the more prominent role Skeeter has in the movie's version of the story compared to the book, but I disagree. I don't think Skeeter in the movie takes away from the story being told about the racial inequality, divide, and degradation. If anything it enhances the story, but showing that not all whites thought, acted, behaved the same. Some didn't really do anything direct to help abolish that bad system, but those they interacted with, they had a respect and kindness that was different from many during that era. And Skeeter represents something just a bit more progressive, she sees Constantine, Aibeleen, and Minny as equals, as genuine friends and family. She values them as equal people, and sees the struggles they have, and wants to work to fight against said struggles. Those kind of people did exist, and should have representation in this story.

I think the reason people see Skeeter and Cecilia, whom in many ways are very similar in the way the view the world, and whom it is they value and treat with respect, but the reason the audience sees them different is that Skeeter is the vehicle through which the maids stories are in a way coming out in the open more then Cecilia. Skeeter also clearly is a bit more privileged then Cecilia, but she is no less a decent person towards those that deserve decency.

Although this movie is criticized for its white savior trope I still like it.

And indeed she became a writer, moved to England and was a writer for the Daily Prophet.
