The bit about using potions to trigger the various effects almost makes this into an alchemist healer build. Nice.

You should always start with Sorc1 if sorc is in your build for the con saving throw proficiency, you don't get anything for starting cleric1

4:32 - This can be upgraded into the Revival Hands in Act 3, since it gives Death Ward to creatures revived while maintaining the Hellrider's Pride buff.

I went 6 levels into Lore Bard for Warden of Vitality, but I like this. Metamagic healer is super interesting.

Reviving hands so much better than the starter onesnu mentioned, trying this out right now

Instead of Periapt of Wound Closure, might I recommend the Amulet of Restoration, which can be bought from Derryth Bonecloak in Act 1? Two free healing spells. Also, there's another one in Act 3 in the Counting House.

Id use the heal necklace. Use mass heal before the fight and everyone gets bless and ward buffs for free

12 con and no con saving proficiencies. This build will likely fail concentration checks on a regular basis.

raven and quasit are my designated healers

I'm thinking taking Warcaster till level 8 instead of Heavy Armor Master is better for concentration. When you hit level 8 you go Sorcerer 1 > Cleric 7 to get constitution save proficiency instead and then pick up Heavy Armor Master. No real benefit for starting cleric once you add the sorcerer multiclass level. That said, I don't like to spend the effort to do transmute hirelings or gale in camp every day.

I did something similar to this but with a abjuration wizard pairing with a cleric. The durability synergy was INSANE. Force conduit plus warding bond, plus heavy master on each it just stacks so much DR its insane. Often times the abjuration ward wouldn't even be reduced because the damage would get reduced to the point where it doesn't do enough to break it.

staff of arcane blessing is also very good early game

I’d start as a sorc then so you get the free con profilency. Go 2 cleric, finish your sorc line (5) finish cleric.
You get the healing and haste far faster while dishing out as much heal as a life cleric could.
Also at the start of the game you don’t really need that healing. In fact, it is questionable if you need it at the end of it as well, specially with the pretora of mitigation a light cleric could bring.

What's the point of having 16 strength??? please answer.

Temp hp don't stack (they replace the previous one).
Death ward is free on equipment. Healing word/mhw and revivify are free on gear.
Mass healing word is more efficient healing in this build. Also bard/cleric is better multi for the purpose and role you suggested.
Healers don't want to take damage. Damage mitigation/reduction is good (higher ac, buffs (blade ward, shield, mage armor), passives on gear) but passive heals from gear (balduran helm) is helpful without fuss. Ac 33 with passive heals is epic. Con 20+ wis 20 cha 20 (rest in dex for initiative) dump str (not attacking) and int (not using wiz. Spells).

Haven't played yet - is a v decent or better healer anything close to a must-have on the default difficulty level? Thanks!

Why you need strength in this build is not clear to me

Is Patry a thing and I am too old or just a typo?
