I met General Ray Odierno at Fort Hood when he commanded the 4th ID. My son in law was an officer with the unit. A genuine and pleasant man as well as a great officer and a true defender of our democracy. My condolences to Ms. Odierno and family and to all those to whom General Odierno meant so much..

I saw Deon Estus play here in Montreal as part of George Michael's "Faith" tour in August of 1988. The following year he released his solo album which included the hit "Heaven Help me", which George sang backup vocals on. He was one of the greatest bass players I've ever heard. His solo on "I'm Your Man" from "Music From The Edge Of Heaven" is an amazing piece. I'm in tears right now. I just found out of his passing. RIP Deon. You are finally at the Edge Of Heaven.

Wow Ruthie Thompson, 111 years old, she lived through the Spanish Flu, WW1 and WW2, the depression, etc. I would have loved to have talked to her.

I remember when Redd Foxx died like it was yesterday, huge fan. And "Heaven Help Me" was one of my favorite songs during that time period. He's up there jammin' with George again. RIP to all...
