Polygamy & Immaturity

Polygyny, the practice of a husband having multiple wives, is a complex and controversial topic that requires a great deal of maturity and emotional intelligence to navigate successfully. Unfortunately, in many cases, immaturity can lead to jealousy, conflict, and even abuse within polygamous relationships.

ABOUT US:
We are Coach Nazir, Coach Fatimah, & Coach Nyla. We are considered Black Americans and we were all raised as Christians. We have a keen understanding of the many facets of American culture and the ongoing challenges it presents.

Each of us accepted Islam as young adults and are practicing Muslims who follow the final revelation, The Quran, and the sunnah of the Last & Final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad ibn Abdullah (sws).

Coach Nazir & Fatimah were married for 15 years and had 6 children when he chose to practice polygyny. He married Coach Nyla 13 years ago and their polygynous journey began.

Since then, 4 more children have been born, another son by Coach Fatimah and 3 sons with Coach Nyla who has added 2 bonus children (step-children) to the family making a total of 12 children.

We had very little support and even slimmer resources when we began our journey, so things were done by trial and error and there were lots of errors!

However, being proactive in our growth and commitment to the success of the family, we figured it out and decided to be a resource for others who may be experiencing similar difficulties.

We reverse-engineered the methods that we found worked best. We chose to remove any excuses from those who say they didn't have a way to learn how to practice it correctly.

This channel is a place where we invite you to travel with us on our personal development journey to develop better and more fulfilling relationships whether you are single, married in monogamy, practicing or looking to practice polygyny.

We share a lot about polygyny and its dynamics because our teachers and spiritual leaders have failed us in this area and polygyny doesn't get its fair share of airtime. We want to be a healthy resource because people are still practicing it without practical education.

I cannot afford more than 1 wife, not financially, not emotionally and my wife isn't even agreeable with sharing me with another woman which is something I must respect. So even if my religion allows it, it is not for me.

A lot of men in my country achieve polygamy by eloping with another woman and getting married in secret across the border to bypass local regulations that require polygamous marriages to have acknowledgment from their first wife. Then they glorify such an act in the name of the religion, which I find disgusting.

As Salamu Alaikum, Al hamdu lillah. This conversation reminds me of the Hadith about Islam coming in strange and ending strange, glad tidings to the strangers. Today's normal is becoming Twilight zone like. (Woman of the year not really) So I'm glad to be a stranger. Polygyny according to Qur'an and Sunnah makes sense to me. Our Creator Allah knows best. Can't follow adults who have to ask what's a woman?

Every man who has the necessary qualities and can provide for more than one wife should contemplate having multiple wives, while ensuring that the total count does not exceed four at any given moment.

A true Muslim as he had to have two women on the panel. Because as the Prophet said, the testimony of a woman is worth half that of a man Sahih al-Bukhari 2658 alhamdulillah! By Allah four wives is sufficient for a man and one woman is not enough

I would like to have 4 wifes. My issue is how to convince all of them about this relationship structure, mainly because I would like to have 4 from different countries, some of them non-Muslims.
