If your VW Jetta remote fob key has a dead, bad or broken battery the DIC may display Key Not Detected. Hold Key On Designated Surface! See Owner's Manual, when you attempt to start it.

To start a VW Jetta with a remote key fob that is not working:
Hold the Volkswagen remote key fob near key markings on the right side of the seating column then start the Atlas as normal.

I have replaced my battery and it does work (car starts n everything) however.. message still pops up saying key not detected. I then have to shut the car off and restart it and it will go away. This happens on maybe 30% of my starts. What might be going on here?
