Landlord reacts to eviction moratorium extension in Nevada

This is the right thing to do. People on the street will make the crisis worse.

Don't worry about the landlords....the banks will not ask for payment during this time period either.

So basically NO one is paying.
This also gives the republicans more "room" to pass a skinny bill because now people's most expensive bill (shelter) doesn't have to be paid.

The eviction "ban" also makes the $300 per week easier to pass....since people who were laid off because of Covid don't need to pay rent....then they also don't need a big bill passed to cover income.

This is really a genius move if you think about it and it will help the republicans in the election because Trump will be able to say he "singled handily" passed unemployment and halted evictions while making the democrats look greedy.

He is slick as a fox....but it worked

Why can't the banks just postpone collecting the mortgages for now, just tack them onto the back end of the mortgage?

It's a felony to destroy or vandalize a rental property and likely damages must be paid back as a condition to be released on probation plus a suspended DL in Florida and insurance pays for vandalism damages

Alternate perspective:
The reason why there is SO MUCH pushback about this LEGAL decision is because in America the safest "investment" everyone has always promoted was REAL ESTATE...

...but this pandemic proves that even in the craziest situations REAL ESTATE can be a risky investment no more than penny stocks.

Alot of "real estate" investors are learning the hard way that NOTHING is safe or guaranteed in business....EVEN REAL ESTATE.
