In case everyone doesn't know. The DCF961 has a built on feature were the impact hits with about half its power for the first five seconds then doubles it after that. Its wierd but thats how it is.

Your not using the M1006 Battery Pack for that Milwaukee? You can get them cheap at Home Depot for $30, 000

You've got what looks like a half dead 5ah battery on that Dewalt and it sounds like it too, needs at least a 6ah XR with the 21700 cells or the 9ah flexvolt battery, both of which are Dewalt's top performers.

I use my DeWalt 1/2-in atomic version for car repair and it works like a charm. Whatever he's taking apart was probably assembled with a huge air gun

3/4 drive has entered the chat. Some bolts need the next step up these impacts are ridiculous these days but your not going to loosen everything. A rusty crusty hitch nut for example.

You have to use a power stack battery to increase its power in Dewalt and drop the 1, 750 pounds of torque

Those are tight af I had 3/4 air impact and they wouldn’t even flinch for me I used a 3/4 Mac breaker bar with cheater and stood on top the crank case

Battery tools are nice, but sometimes air is better. If air won't do it then a breaker bar and pipe. No sense in beating your tools when there is a faster way to get it done.

I have the dewalt 1/2in atomic i use for my cars and trucks and it is amazing, i live in the rust belt of Ny where we salt roads and it breaks free control arms and anything else i could put in front of it like a charm

Reminds me of this tire shop I went to today 2 young lazy chunky boys mentioned I had a cross threaded lug and then proceeded to show for I know a full 3 mins straight with a Harbour feight Bauer or what ever it is when he finally let off of the trigger I was like yup I'd say that's cross threaded so where is the breaker bar and also you need a extension needed one from the start I noticed they had trouble and had to get the ones the could then rock the tire to get the other when a lil extension could have made their hour and a half 4 tire change probably a hour then hits me with don't have one and continued hammering away and to my disbelief it came off in a solid full min of him just hold that thing like it was a vibrator he enjoyed holding

Milwaukee moved it, you can tell by watching some of the paint chips slowly align. It needed another 3 or 4 seconds that's all.

Have that Dewalt. Hasnt been stopped yet. But just superduty and Duramax r&r so far, no heavy rust or heavy equipment tried out yet.

It's hilarious how many people are mixing up the DCF961 and the 964, completely different torque figures

For that kind of work I use slugging wrenches and a sledge hammer to break torque then use the gun to run the fastener the rest of the way out. Since I don't do that stuff for a living I make slugging wrenches by welding impact sockets to scrap truck steering arms. I weld them to the splined hole which normally goes over the steering box shaft then I can hold them in place with a long extension while bashing the slugging wrench with a hand sledge.

Bro I have that same exact gun I thought it would keep up with heavier repairs but it wouldn’t even take off fly wheel bolts I was so pissed

Socket starts moving towards the end
"Nah that won't do it either"
Bruh. 🤦‍♂️

Weighted socket and forge battery. Battery makes a huge difference

You need that third gen m18 high torque. With the new forge battery that thing is SAVAGE!
