I do see a few distros from time to time offer Docky. I often wonder why Ubuntu doesn't offer it, it is handy at times. I guess it would look to much like OSX then.

I agree. I think that Ubuntu is trying to reach more people with an interface similar to that of Windows..

Im running ubuntu 10.10 as my primary OS and i also burned a CD of 11.04 the other day. After reviewing it on live CD i never felt a bit of compulsion of upgrading my system to 11.04 at all.

@lecturesnippets i wonder how windows would set the standards when ubuntu's interface has more mac look (10.10 and older) than windows. windows would have lost the battle if they went on with something like vista again. Ubuntu though is far better than the rest of its contemporaries any way

Unity is absolutely horrible. I'll stick with 10.04 LTS with GNOME Do set to "Docky." This set-up does everything Unity does, but more efficiently.
