2021 SCOTTSDALE AUCTION BROADCAST - Super Saturday, March 27, 2021 - BARRETT-JACKSON

Super Saturday, indeed! There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the excitement, emotion and clear passion for the collector car hobby on display during the final day of the 2021 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction.

In an event filled with many signature “Barrett-Jackson moments” it’s difficult to pick which one was best – but in this case, it had to be the spectacular sale of Carroll Shelby’s personal 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake. From the moment the brilliant blue roadster roared onto the auction block, the arena erupted in cheers as the bidding escalated, until the gavel fell and “The Cobra to End All Cobras” raced off with a final sale price of $5.5 million.

Other memorable sales on Saturday were an incredible highly documented matching-numbers 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 for $2.475 million, a 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition that sold for $1.21 million and an impeccably restored 1965 Shelby GT350 known for winning the Triple Crown in the Shelby world that brought in $962,500. When it came to record sales, the hits just kept on coming, with nearly 30 more record-breakers on Saturday, including Edsel B. Ford II’s 1958 Edsel Bermuda Wagon ($165,000), a 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Convertible ($247,500) and a 1952 Dodge Power Wagon Custom Pickup ($310,200).

My uncle bought a hugger orange 68 rs camaro. He couldn't keep up the payments so my grandma and grandpa took them over. It was a big joke in Garner N.C. about them driving around in that awesome hugger orange camaro.
