Diane was at the TCM Film Festival this year with her early movie A Little Romance. I was able to tell her that Streets of Fire is one of my favorite movies of all time, and she said thank you. That made my entire year. I don't think anything will be able to top that. Also, it's one of my favorite soundtracks as well.

A stranger on the internet brought up this movie in a Reddit conversation, I'd never heard of it (despite being 12 when it came out), but the trailer looked interesting, so I bought the Shout Factory restored 4K, and blind watched it today... Hot damn was it a fun ride. The movie is cheestastic in all the right ways... This opening scene hit so hard (and Diane Lane is mesmerizingly hot) I thought I'd search for it to watch it again... LOL

Very underated and way better then the other garbage out at the time like footloose flashdanc etc and the dance crap pushed at the time.They got the retro future look right which isnt always done successfully. Loved this movie-still do. A guilty pleasure. I was 15 when this movie came out, and Diane Lane was my biggest crush. Absolutely from heaven beautiful, and she has aged perfectly.
