The egg shells broken up in your flower beds also differs snakes. Snakes do not like slithering over the broken shells.

I Use The Water That I Have Boiled The Eggshells In, To Water My Plants, Once It Cools Down. My Plants Always Seem To Liven Up Afterwards And Have A Growth Spurt.
The Eggshells I Crush Up, To Deter Slugs And Grind Them Down Into Fine Powder Which I Work Into Soil.
