About the Dutch anthem, I remember a weird situation in a World Cup semifinal (I think it was the 2010 World Cup) in which the Dutch team would play Spain in the final if they won, but had they lost then Germany was waiting for them in the 3rd place playoff. So whatever the result, they faced the awkward prospect of singing either "to the King of Spain, I've always paid respect" or "I am of German blood" in the next match.

Your haircut is weirder than all these anthems combined.

I'll admit, the USSR anthem was epic. I totally get why someone would get suckered into Red territory, just to get that sweet anthem.

In the Dutch anthem, the part about loyalty to Spain wasn't because the Netherlands where part of the Spanish empire. It was written during the 80 years war of independence of the Dutch against the Spanish. The lyrics are about how William was loyal to the Spanish but that the Dutch people where being shot and burned alive by the Spanish for being non katholic. William of orange didn't agree with this and sold everything he could to pay soldiers to fight the Spanish. The lyrics are about him being loyal to the king of Spain but that he was forced to fight him in order to save his people. If you want to know more about this stuff you can look up the massacre of Naarden, It was a Dutch city that was besieged by the Spanish. Without even firing a single shot the people of Naarden surrenderd, and let the Spanish in. Everyone in the city was executed by the Spanish, even the women and children. So the lyrics AREN'T about liking the spanish, but the meaning behind it is being backstabbed by the Spanish.

I really don't like begging for likes but please like this so he can maybe see it, I think he mhight find this interesting.

I am a Nepalese and I recommend you to listen to an instrumental version of our anthem, it’ll definitely satisfy your perspective of what “normal” is.
