The Maori version of the National anthem is the only one in the world to use the name of God "Ihowa" [Jehovah] at the outset.
"E Ihowa, atua" in English "O Jehovah God"

I lived in New Zealand so I know how the anthem is but what my point is, this version is not "werid" but I would say it's interesting (not in a bad way). I think most important thing in anthem is that it contains the correct lyrics with right pronunciation. So as long as it's not way different lyrics or made it fun of the national anthem, it is fine.

Well, a lot of people put a lot of time into arranging, performing and recording what is a unique, clear and very accurate rendition of the anthem- it's a shame that you've labelled it weird.
