1920 was an interesting year for Ruth. He actually started off horribly. In his first 18 games he hit .210 with just 2 home runs. The final 124 games he played he hit a staggering .401 with 52 home runs in just 396 at bats. That's insane. His slugging average was .922 and onbase .560 during that stretch.

The Babe is the only pitcher in MLB history to lead his league in homeruns(11 in 1918)! What a legend!

The “My Footage” logo covering 1/4 of the video was a nice touch

Many videos of Babe Ruth are a hodgepodge of clips, often chronologically inaccurate for the year stated or implied in a given presentation. Player uniform numbers didn't come into use until 1929, when Ruth was 34 yrs old and three quarters of the way through his playing career. There's been much more video of Ruth on the net in the past handful of years than over more than a half century on TV. Obviously, various sources had collectively quite a bit of film on Ruth, especially after he came to NY, media capital that it's been, but it apparently wasn't available, or readily available even to news outlets prior to the net and uploading sites like Youknowwhotube.

Go into settings and set the speed to .5. The video will look like regular speed.

Playback speed at .75X and it will look much more natural. Sound will be off a bit though.

Some of baseball fields back then didn't even have a wall or seats in left field alot his hits in left field were doubles in triples in which if a fence or wall was there they would of been homeruns so he would of more than just 714
