The long wait is over. The UB-Xa is ready to be unleashed.

After 6 years of intense development, what started as a labor of love morphed into a development of the most complex and versatile platform to serve not only the UB-Xa but all our polyphonic synthesizers we have planned.

When I was a kid...anytime I found magazines with the OBX in it, I would cut out the pictures of it, and tape them to my bedroom wall.
I would fantasize about owning one (along w the Fairlight System, and the Yamaha CS-80 ), but no way would my folks shell out thousands of dollars (6k in 1981 money) for their 12 yr old son to bang away on some synth he doesn't even know how to use.
The fact that I can now actually afford to own one (because I have grown up money) blows my mind!

Regardless of what it is supposed to sound "like", it just seems to generally sound good... has that 80s hi-fi vibe. Active, dynamic and organic when the filter is closed, and uber-fizz when it's fully open, without becoming a total mess in the mixer stage. 16 voices and MPE keyboard at this price is kind of what it needed to still be interesting after such a long delay with everything else that has come out. We need reviews on keyboard quality and a few other sounds.

Wauw I noticed the polyphonic aftertouch but didn't dare to expect it. This sounds so great even on phone speakers. Splitmode, Poly AT, and various sound modes all makes so much sense.

Wow! Full Poly after touch, complete MIDI, MPE implementation, vintage modes. I gotta say, this one sure looks like a nice synth. That low end timbre of an Oberheim seems to be there. I may have to get somewhere and play this beast. It sure look sounds like a dream.
