Why is there always so much negativity in these shorts. Jesus everyone talking about the "beautiful wood" like who cares?? The quality of the wood is not reduced by its outer appearance. The point of good wood is that is long lasting and robust, not that it HAS TO HAVE a particular look to it or another. If it is not for you scroll on, some people like certain things and others like others. The world would be painfully boring if everyone wanted to keep their grandmas furniture looking the same, or if otherwise, everyone wanted to modernize it. Jeez I can't imagine what reading the comments is like for this poor woman who is just customizing furniture she comes accross to her own preference.

For everyone complaining about covering the cherry. This piece is MDF also known as particle board so it is papered and cannot be sanded and stained

Literally the only thing I would do differently would have been to make the shelving adjustable so you can put in different size bottles or change its purpose. It is just so beautiful 🤩

I'm not a fan of painting over wood, but if the cherry didn't go with her decor, it's understandable for an upcycle. I like the originality of turning it into a wine cabinet. Haven't seen anything quite like that yet. 10/10 from me 👍🏻

Every time you do something with particle board/wood veneer/dated stain/ water damaged pieces the keyboard warriors come here to tell you what you should have done with that “beautiful wood” as if they personally handled the furniture and know it was an antique priceless piece of history.
I’m damn sure she has explained over and over… and over…. And over…. To the point of nausea that she would never do that to pieces that were actually antiques. From that point forward why hate watch? Many of you come here into to bitch that it’s no to your taste…. There’s plenty of channels that will do work on beautiful antiques. I especially love watching restorations to old knives, kitchen cleavers, or diy furniture builds….. what I don’t do is continue watching a channel who’s content doesn’t align with my personal taste to hate watch and post comments about my disappointment on a piece of furniture I will never own…. Your allowed your opinion and personal style …. It’s just that usually you seek out content to match your style… so why stay here? Well at least she gets your views so that’s something

final product looked nice enough, but im really sorry to say that the paint made the piece look cheaper than it was

If you're gonna be keeping the furniture for yourself then sure paint it however you want. But for selling, the paint makes it look like a cheap ikea hack
