In Memory of Nichelle Nichols

Today is a very sad day to all of us Trekkies as we learned about the passing of the amazing and ever so caring Nichelle Nichols. Like most of us, I have met her once for the duration of a photo and later for an autograph, but I never forget her smile and her witty attitude when she could not read my name on the piece of paper. :) She was amazing as Uhura, and I tremendously enjoyed getting to know more about her Nasa career recently in the documentary "Women In Motion".

She will forever be missed, but as once the great Bones (with my iteration) said "She never really gone, as long as long as we remember her." Rest In Piece Nichelle, we will miss you. _\\//

I met Nichelle at Silicon Valley Comic-Con 2017 towards the end of the show. I was there as media. She was getting ready to leave, so I just went up to her to say hello real quick and tell her I'm a fan. She insisted on signing a picture for me (free of charge). She was so sweet to me. In my opinion, she's worthy of ALL the adulation and adoration she's received over the years. She was a great lady and cultural icon. I'm very sad to read of her passing. I'll miss her. May God bless her soul, and her family.

So sad she has passed, I hate it that we are losing our Icons. People we never met in person but were so good at their profession we become entangled with their characters. She was awesome and from everything I have read about her life a very talented and Loving woman!! She is missed already, her light shined and the world is darker because she has left it!
