What an amazing episode. There were so many nuggets in this one. The portion that discussed the insane process that the utilities develop their rate tariffs for EV charging stations was very informative. I also think the brief mention of the PA use tax was something that deserved a little more discussion since he readily acknowledged that he expects more states to follow suit.

Younger buyers may think they only care about "4 wheels with apple carplay" until they are faced with a $7k engine or transmission replacement out of warranty. It will be then that the brand of car they bought will matter. They should have spent a little bit more for a Toyota instead of a Ford or Chrysler product with a better touch screen.

Oh great so not only are you challenged by not having enough chargers out there, you will also be told at what time to do it.
Nothing I hear about EVs is more convenient, seems to be actually the opposite.

Meh, pass on EVs. Gov't needs to relax with the mandates
