I don't blame Midori, honestly. Online communities can really stir up drama within a few minutes, causing people to be upset with themselves and/or others. I'm not huge into leaks myself, but something about this one feels different. A Heroes remake potentially being considered does have me interested. I'm not going to say it's completely true, though.

Sonic fans ruin fuckin' everything. Midori leaked so much great SEGA and Atlus stuff, but this happens as soon as she covers Sonic? Absolutely infuriating fanbase.

SA2 would've been a good remake since the 3rd movie is coming this year and it has Shadow in it. But if they remake SA2, they'd probably have to remake SA1 first.

Making those Adventure remakes would literally be like printing money for Sega. The hype would be unreal. It drives me crazy how they haven't done it yet after all these years.

as a sonic fan myself i have loved each sonic game despite their problems and the drama i feel got blow way out of proportion

Probably one of the other reasons they're doing it off another engine is because the RenderWare engine that made Sonic Heroes is not accessable anymore/outdated, same could probably be said for SA1&2.

Sonic 06 wasnt ready for release but what alot of people didnt know is that sega got alot of hate for saying they needed more time on sonic 06. Between death threats and actual riot at 1 of there studios they decided to release an unfinished game cause thats what the fans asked for pretty much. Sonic 06 was suppose to release with the xbox 360 but delayed alot then the fans got pissy and inpatient

Sonic Heroes was bad, but I can see a remake coming.
On Midori retiring, I think it's safe to say that nobody will ever be as credible...

What Midori is always been a good source, I dont think she was being vague on purpose but the situation grew out of proportion. Im a bit annoyed that this stress caught to her, but I just wish her the best.

Ngl ever since that game, SONIC 06 released a decade ago, the fanbase has gone down hill COMPLETELY and till this day, using the game as a personal punching bag of the franchise... the fanbase doesn't appreciate ANYTHING SONIC anymore, and because of all of that, WE LOST DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING. Multiple playable characters, incredible and serious stories, and a whole bunch of good stuff... it was a lot WORSE when they kept begging to bring back the Adventure games when the adventure era has been dead and gone for awhile now... And don't get me started on the remasters... PERSONALLY I loved all the remasters... Listen carefully and good when I say this... For some people who want context about the remasters of Sonic games, this is basically a fresh start for people who aren’t familiar with the sonic franchise… so please be at ease, saying that those are bad ideas and such… just see this as an open door opportunity for people who never played a sonic game. THATS IT... So my personal message to the sonic fanbase... PLEASE get it together... I want the good stuff again.
