Hawkeye didn't lose. The bet was that BJ would prank all of them in 24hrs. He only pranked Hawkeye because the others were in on the joke. Hawkeye wins.

The last time I saw this episode they cut some scenes in syndication, like the kid with the cigar.

Clearly pretty much everybody else in the mess tent knew what was going on, since you see them all scramble into viewing position as Hawkeye gets up on the table. 😆
