The iMac 5k late 2014 keeps sleeping at random times. I recorded it for proof.

Same issue. I am going to install a new SSD in place of the FUSION drive so that will be a totally clean install. Hope it works...

Same thing here. random shutdowns. Backed up everything to portable hard drive and finally took to Apple Store where they purged everything . They said it was probably the new update? Reinstalled system. May have been glitch in new system. Reloaded light room and other programs. Seems to work fine now. Had on for 8 hours. No problem for 1 week now. No cost as long as no new hardware was put in and I was over my Apple Care warranty.

I'd run rember which is a ram tester. I ran into similar issues when my system was running Yosemite (particularly running Elite Dangerous, a space sim) but NOT under ElCapitan. The only thing I was able to determine was the OpenCL graphics driver in El Cap is about 8 months newer than the one in Yosemite. Worth a try anyway. Good luck.

By the way, my own system is configured identically to yours except I have the M290X video card instead of the 295.
