I own both. Elixir is very masculine, strong, attention grabbing, and unique. Gives you that expensive feeling and dark energy. This fragrance screams “Babe I’m not your little friend, I’m that playboy that’s gonna pick you up, take you home and…”. The EDP is just good for any occasion, still masculine, sweet, fresh, inoffensive, likeable, and is a safe fragrance to use, in my opinion. But I’ve already made the elixir my signature scent, it is just so good

Have heard the EDP described as the "winter" Sauvage, probably on account of the vanilla and nutmeg in it. The Elixir is a beast mode sweet spicy amber bomb, perfect for the winter months. If you’re not keen on the spiciness, the Parfum version retains the vanilla and with Tonka bean and sandalwood instead of peppers making it sweeter, smoother, and less in your face.
