My grandpa was one of the first to study the bombs radiation affects on the native population. He changed careers afterwards and work at the Marshall island hospital afterwards, I wish he was alive, I'd ask him more questions on the situation

US: *Conducts nuclear bomb test.*
US: "Oh no! The local natives have been exposed to radiation and are dying! What should we do?"
US: "Let's just use them as test subjects to study the effects of radiation from a nuclear bomb."

None of my friends think it’s a nuclear accident when it obviously is. Thanks for finally making a video

Actually the fuel used in the bomb was a mixture of lithium-6 and lithium-7. The active ingredient was lithium-6 but the scientists couldn't find a way to separate them so they let it as it is, because their calculations showed lithium-7 to be inert. The result was that the bomb had more lithium-7 than lithium-6. And during the explosion what happened was that the lithium-7 lost a neutron and got converted to lithium-6, and the rest is history.

You gotta love the music and effort behind these videos. I hate how they receive so much criticism for small mistakes.

America during Cold War:
Soviets are so bad, they build unstable nuclear reactors and also the strongest nuclear weapon ever.
Rest of the world:
Do you remember Castle Bravo and what came after it?
America:
So you've chosen death?
