I used the JB weld putty for some screw holes for my cowl on my truck. Tempted to use it in more holes. So far it's healed well!

This is a related video from what I've recently watched.... See, I have a gas bicycle and I made a (re-)repair to a hole where the mounting studs are welded to the gas tank. I used a product by the company VersaChem called Magnum Steel Epoxy Stick... From all looks of things, it's another company's version of JB Weld TankWeld, except according to the safety data sheet it has even more (and improved) ingredients. Anyway, I just wanted to mention it 6 years later from when your video was posted :D

Does it rusts metal with time or not really

Yes it must be to bare metal for good bonding. In your application it may have worked because the putty anchored on both sides of the whole. Thanks anyway I have not seen this product for a long time.

Those 2 part putties are made by everybody. Per the JB Weld data sheets, they are far weaker than regular JB Weld I doubt POR 15 2 part putty is any stronger. For wood or plastic or low strength requirements, they are a good bet but for max strength on steel, stick with regular, wet JB Weld. Build some kind of dam to keep it in place, if necessary

this works to fill a hole but it wont stop the rust, it may take 5 years but it willl fail

Please consider making the video and then, somewhere without wind or whatever that noise was, separately narrate it.

it is much better for your health to use gloves.

Why wouldn't you just tack weld in a small disc of sheet metal? Thats A long term fix. A small mig machine is affordable, easy to use, and a must have when restoring old veedubs.
