i bet the price of homes/land in Alaska has went up quite a bit in the last decade and a small part of that boost is probably from all of the shows involving Alaska.

The one thing I like is they’re not all that expensive once you think about it. If you look at the prices out there for luxury homes, these ones are quite affordable. I’d struggle with the isolation of the places. Not that I like people, but I don’t have survival skills. So if I had to hunt or fish for my food, I’d starve to death and if I got ill and needed a hospital, it may take longer then it would if I lived in the city. I do like them

The last one is one of the strangest things I've ever seen. It's like someone who knew nothing about home design or furnishing was given a big budget and went ahead with whatever popped into their mind - and were high most of the time.

I'm a 2 time Alaskan resident I can tell you it's very very gorgeous up here especially in spring & summer long daylight hours enjoying the midnight sun great hunting & fishing water is clean taste great free of pollution the home in homer is gorgeous there's 6million dollar homes in the chugach mountains overlooking Anchorage great view of the city & cookinlet when you buy a home here in Alaska far Anchorage make sure you have a ar15 or Smith n Wesson 500 Grizzly bears will break down your door or climb up your 2nd story wooden balcony or patio people feed the bears they very bold
