THIS SHORTCUT WILL IMPROVE YOUR MK8 GOLF R/GTI!

I explain in this clip how to add a shortcut to your homepage so the ESC system can more easily be disabled when driving your MK8 Golf R / GTI!

One of the frustrations some owners have mentioned is the lack of any physical buttons including the ability to easily turn of the cars traction control settings. This would allow you to get the maximum out of your MK8 GTI or R as with this setting left on the car will often automatically brake during cornering or when traction is limited cutting the cars power and not giving you full control.

In the MK8 Golfs infotainment system you can access the ESC but to do this you have to go through multiple menu's which is in-efficient particularly when you are on the move and want to turn ESC off for a quick blast down your favourite road. This shortcut in this video makes that process much more simple!

Great tip there 👍 another great shortcut to turn lane assist off is on the left stock end, press it in and press ok on the steering wheel 👌 so much quicker !!

Most youtube reviews did not cover this shortcut function and kept saying it took them forever to change traction setting. Clearly the should have read the manual first before pretending to be an expert car reviewer.

Still a crap system with all the faffing, we don't want a half baked iPad for a infotainment dash we want a simple system that made the mk7 so easy to live with and of course get on with. Lets hope for a facelift because this really isn't helping VW with there cars when other manufacturers have simple and arguably better systems. I bet the guy at VW who designed this is getting a earful now and did he or even she drive these cars to see what its like on a a daily basis when driving, well of course not it just looks nice and updated with graphics and little boring icons and thats about it sadly, thanks for the vid Sam.
