I just switched up my Roth IRA to 50% SCHD, 25% SCHX, 25% SCHG, and my Roth 401k is 70% vanguard S&P 500 index, 20% vanguard growth index, and 10% vanguard international index. Seeking best possible ways to grow $350k into $1m+ before retirement, I'm 55.

VGT outperformed SCHD and VOO over 5 and 10 years. Despite having most of my $500k retirement in VGT, I try to beat my Roth with my taxable account but still underperform the S&P 500.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274, 800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family...

I think at this point i need a help. Because My concern is whether I can continue to sustain my standard of living with $550k and avoid outliving my savings. Every withdrawal makes me a bit unsettled

Started my portfolio last year with SCHD, VOO, and VUG after watching one of your videos. In terms of share price, VOO is way up (22.25%) and VUG is up (39.62%). Thanks for the education!

I'm just starting to invest and keep hearing mixed opinions on asset allocation. Some say ETFs and index funds offer great broad market exposure, but I’ve also heard they include underperforming stocks that could dilute returns from stronger performers. Since my goal is to retire early, I’m not sure if I should be more selective with my choices now, or if I’m just overthinking it

Very nice information on SCHD, as I recently started to invest in this ETF.

Great video, great information. I recently put a slug of money to work from an old 401k that i moved into an IRA 8 years ago (my bad for keeping it in cash) and i dumped that whole slug into SCHD as i am confident in where it is going over time.

I do a mix of SCHD, SPHD, RITM, and a few other reits for my dividend portfolio. RITM is my all time favorite dividend stock. SPHD’s monthly payout is huge for compounding over time. It’s best to mix several of these funds.

So far SCHD has not been live-changing yet. Surprisingly, it has added volitity to my dividend portfolio. Dividend yeild is higher than inflation, which is a plus. It really depends on how you want to approach living off of your investments. Soon the markets will turn next year after the elections are over and we get through the January effect stuff. I have the feeling that it will pay a dividend, but no growth in this until midterm elections. Wait to buy it at a better entry price. From what I have listened to in this video, it feels like spam to me.

I don’t think people realize that this video just shows what the return would be on $100, 000 with reinvested dividends. Imagine if you calculated all that on top of consistent monthly/yearly investments. This would make the compounding effect way stronger thus potentially adding multiple M’s to your portfolio depending on the monthly/yearly investment amount.

I have to pay 30% withholding tax for the dividend received. Does it still make sense for me to invest in this ETF, in your opinion?

This video ignores the drag of taxes and the IRS.

Prioritizing dividends over total returns is nonsense and anyone that understands finance and portfolio theory knows this.

What are the best strategies to protect my portfolio? I've heard that a downturn will devastate the financial market, so I'm concerned about my $200k stock portfolio.

Not sure if my math is correct but sp500 had a 12.8 cage for last 10 years. If we compound 100k over 30 years you get 3.9mil

When retiring I would go all in for schd has more stable income during bad times.
