How to install Zabbix Agent 5.0.0 optional SSL ( Automated ) on Windows & Add to hosts

# Updated 24/05/2020 to support multiple agent versions. without and with SSL option.
Simply change the variable within the Powershell script! :)

I have automated the installation process with a Powershell script, for easy installation.

Everything you need to get started is put into the script. Simply just run it on the machine you wish to install the agent.

I just wanted to let you know, after they updated to 4.2.x they changed some of the names of the files etc. I have adressed it in the Powershell script now, so it automatically downloads Agent version 4.2.3 and works again.

A new options has been added to the script. There are now multiple download links without and with SSL option.
Simply change the variable in the script to the desired one. :)

I did the same step but in Server 2012 and zabbix gui won't open in browser. it says unable to connect. Any reason for that?

With the first one, I followed all its steps and it worked, but when doing the same procedure with the second one through PowerShell, an error appears and when it was really reviewed it was not created correctly, the C: / zabbix folder was created But there is nothing .

Hi Sir..thank you for this tutorial..I followed it. I have a problem, when I ran zabbix_Automated_install file via powershell it ask for my server's ip which is a normal operation. I key in my ip and that creates a directory c:\zabbix..however when I open services I don't see zabbix option there I also dont' see allow zabbix comunication in firewall advance setting..I think this has something to do with firewall restrictions...
