On December 4, 2021, a friend and I hiked to the top of Guadalupe Peak at Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas. At 8,751 feet / 2,667 meters, it's the highest natural point the the state. The 8.4 mile out-and-back trail is rated as "strenuous", but in late autumn, the cool temperatures made it a relaxing hike.

Very well made video! Music was perfect. No needless talking, the captions worked great.

Really appreciated your video. Your photos of some of the flora were deeply enjoyed, as that is something rarely seen.
The mountain is also on my Bucket List too.
I live near Parkersburg, West Virginia. I've uh...driven...to the highest point in West Virginia, at Spruce Knob and always enjoyed it, but the uniqueness of the highest point in the Lone Star State makes it all the more desirable and it's been on my personal Bucket List for some time.
Take care, and see you on the Trail!

Really great video. Seemed so peaceful. I have a feeling my video would have huffing and puffing 😮‍💨 the whole way up! I’m thinking about trying it with my sons next spring break. I hope I can keep up!

I am 66 and my wife is 65 and we completed the hike on 11/10/22. We had cold 70 mph wind gusts and it took us much longer to get up and down but we did it.
