I use silicone toe pads and the great thing about them is they don’t wear out nearly as quickly as the cloth ones

it’s crazy just how dramatically different below grade bubble wrap compares with high quality bubble wrap. basically if you can feel each individual bubble vs if the bubbles are sealed in on either side in the same material but very thick is cheap & high quality in a nutshell

When i first went on point we had lambs wool as the only option. When ouch pouches and those awesome custom silicone clay ones you mold to your feet came out, I never went back to lambs wool. My favorite used to be the silicone jelly pouches with the fabric outside coating. I forget what they are called now, it's been years, but I have no idea how we suffered through with lambs wool, probably because our other choice was nothing.

One time I lost one of my toe pads so I took a tampon out of my bag and ripped it up and used it as a toe pad it surprisingly held up pretty well! 😂

Lambswool and taping of toes was the only thing my pointe teachers allowed start ting from when I was 10. None of us could use anything else. I wonder if that’s changed at that studio. The teachers also said I and my mom were lying when I said I was being bullied. So there is that…

I used to use the wool-like think that is used in filter for fish tank. It's light and fluffy.
