This was doing my head in, partner signed in and her email took over my admin, removed it then I was left without admin and couldn't figure it out too. Cheers for this video, all fixed now!

Btw, if you are using Windows 10, Local Users and Groups option is not available. You should instead press "Window" button +"R", then type "netplwiz"

There's nother way to get into safe mode by cliking F5 if shift doesn't work.
If it asks you the amdinistrator's password to acces command promp just hit enter.
If writing the command "net user administrator /active:yes" doesn't work and your windows is on another language try replacing administrator with the translation in your language.
