Do you think her father handled the situation correctly? 🏊

Out of all people I never thought a 3 year old would actually know that the toddler was drowning, that’s one of the smartest and best sisters I’ve ever seen

When she starts crying, you can see her sister's sigh of relief.

When this little girl stopped on her tracks and her young mind processed that something was very wrong, thank you Lord!

The big sister looked so scared when she realized what was happening. She is really smart for 3 years old!

I'm leaving this here...
“When people are drowning, all of their energy is going into trying to breathe and staying above water, ” says Shelley Dalke, Director, Swimming and Water Safety Programs for the Canadian Red Cross. “They are not yelling for help or waving their hands around. Drowning is often very silent.”

Children who cannot lift their face out of the water can drown in just a few centimetres. And many children who drown never intended to be in the water in the first place. Some people with limited or no swimming ability, may disappear underwater in less than a few seconds without any clear sign of distress.

This brakes my heart :( my niece drowned when she was 3 and sadly none of us were there in time to save her. I always think about what she must have went through. I don't even like swimming or baths anymore because it makes me think of what she had to go through in her last moments alive. :'( and her birthday is coming up soon. I came her to watch funny videos not cry man :(

Honestly, it's so refreshing to hear him admit he wasn't being fully attentive. So many parents try to place blame anywhere they can to avoid looking like a "bad parent" but accidents do happen, nobody's perfect. This was a fortunate situation!

Teach your children to swim as soon as possible.

Glad she knew not to jump in and try to save her. Bravo!

When crying is the best thing you've ever heard.

Hes lucky the little girl didn't try to jump in to save her herself, it would've been devastating to lose 2 little girls at the same time. Most of the time drownings happen silently.

That little girl is a hero!!! As a mom I know it takes one second and this can happen. She wasn’t out by herself or nothing. Her dad was fast to react as well. Praise the Lord she is ok.

That was really amazing to see her apprehension to see her assess the situation to stop in her tracks to look and then to look back and to know that this is not right to have discernment as such a young age to put those pieces together was amazing 😍🤩😍😘💎

She's so smart! I love how she took a second to think about what to do when she saw her little sister, dive in herself or ask someone for help? You can see her glance around before seeing her father and alerting him in the best way possible. I'm glad she's old enough and smart enough to know that drowning is a thing. Younger or less informed kids would've just thought their little sister was playing. It's so sweet of her to talk to her sister and see if she's okay after too 🥺
